Reality TV Has Gone Presidential

It seems the new qualification to be elected President of a country is to have your own television show. As we know, for many years, Donald Trump had The Apprentice, where his claim to fame was telling contestants “You’re Fired,” a weekly tradition he has maintained the past 2+ years. This past week, a famous Ukrainian comedian, Vladimir Zakensky, was elected President of Ukraine. Can’t make this up. In his TV show, clearly a comedy, he played the President of the Ukraine. It would be fascinating if he made his Secretary of State, or whatever they call that office there, Borat, assuming he would relocate from Kazakhstan. I genuinely would not want Bernie Sanders as President, but after playing Larry David for 7 years on Curb Your Enthusiasm, it seems to be a fate de accompli.
